Our Site Manager, the Volunteer Coach!
Local Football Coach
Our site manager, Darren King, ran the Clacton-on-Sea 10km run as well as the Ipswich half marathon within 3 weeks of each other in support of his father-in-law. If you wish to read about this, please click here.
In testament to his character, addition to raising money for The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust, Darren also volunteers to coach a Sunday league football team who recently had their end of season bonding trip to Thorrington.
*The boys before an assault course
Darren’s sons play for the football side, and in aid of making sure that the boys get constructed training sessions and enjoyable games, Darren coaches the side and makes sure that weekly they have a fun and quality game of football.
“As the season itself, it has been tough through the loss of players. It has been fantastic to see the boys battle well and enjoy playing the sport together. That’s what it is all about”.

*The boys enjoying a campfire before camping over
During the end of season camping trip, the fun which was reflected in the season was evident when they completed assault courses, rifle shooting, 3D mazes and other team bonding activities.
“The end of season camp was fantastic, we are looking to bring this in again with preseason as a bonding session because of the new players we have had sign up!”

Good Luck Darren!
